A Book Review of Super Stitches Sewing by Nicole Vasbinde

Super Stitches SewingSo if you’ve followed me for awhile you know I have book coming out October 7th, which is a heck of a lot of work. So for some reason I decided to get a little crafty at the same time (I now I don’t know where I find the time either – I think I just go manic) and I decided to learn to sew.  Um, what?! How many times did I fail home economics in high school attempting to do this and that was with a teacher? Okay, so I’m stubborn and I don’t like to admit defeat. Sue me!

Luckily blogging for books offered Super Stitches Sewing by Nicole Vasbinde as part of their program because the DVD that came with my machine basically showed me how to thread the darn thing like that’s all I needed to suddenly know how to sew.   Super Stitches Sewing picks up where the DVD left off.

This books is a fantastic little gem that showed me and told me which stitches in my 17 selection machine would work for my projects (yes, I’ve made a little dress for my daughter and it’s Hello Kitty cute!!). This book is not a step by step project book but a technique book of all the stitches on a sewing machine. There’s hand sew techniques in there too but I’m not going all crazy with this! I haven’t yet started to darn socks, although I do have a few in need of repair . . . Anyway! This book is a on my keeper shelf, since without it I would just be straight stitching everything.

Thank you to Nicole Vasbinde for keeping is simple for those of us who aren’t domestic goddesses!

Many Blessings ~
